The Detroit Lions are an expert American football group situated in Detroit. The Lions contend in the National Football League (NFL) as a part club of the association’s National Football Conference (NFC) North division. The group plays its home recreations at Ford Field in Downtown Detroit.
Initially situated in Portsmouth, Ohio and called the Portsmouth Spartans, the group formally joined the NFL on July 12, 1930 and started play in the 1930 season.[3] Despite accomplishment inside the NFL, they couldn’t make due in Portsmouth, then the NFL’s littlest city. The group was obtained and migrated to Detroit for the 1934 season.
The Lions have won four NFL titles, tied for ninth generally speaking in all out titles among each of the 32 NFL establishments; nonetheless, their last was in 1957, which gives the club the second-longest NFL title dry spell behind the Arizona Cardinals. They are one of four current groups, the main pre-NFL–AFL merger group, and the main NFC group to have not yet played in the Super Bowl.[4]
